Christmas Cheer: About Those Chestnuts

Truth be told, I don’t think I’ve ever had chestnuts, never mind chestnuts that were roasted on an open fire. And before you even ask, no, Jack Frost has never nipped on my nose either.

I have, however, sung yuletide carols by a fire. Score one of me!

Ah The Christmas Song, also sometimes referred to by its opening line “Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire.”

The only problem is, I don’t even know what that means. But leave it up to a five-year-old to teach me.
